Merry Christmas!
We decided to go electronic for our Christmas Card this year but hope to be back to the traditional card next year. We love getting everyone's Christmas cards and displaying them on our front door. It's a great reminder of the blessing of family and friends!
We had a couple opportunities this year to get out and play as a family. We went to Canyonlands and Arches and hiked through beautiful country! We also took a river trip down the Green River near Flaming Gorge and had a great time, although we may have scarred Owen for life… he wasn't a fan of the rapids (maybe next year).
Eli works for Big-D Construction, is still Scout Master for our ward and is Mr. Mom most evenings. Between those responsibilities and home construction projects he didn't go hunting once this year (poor guy).
Candace started Salt City Dance in the basement of our home. She has 18 students this year and is excited for it to grow. She still teaches for Emotion Dance in Sandy and enjoys it but not as much as the convenience of just walking downstairs to teach.
Our basement before...
Our basement after!
Owen will turn 4 on the 23rd of this month! He has been such a fun 3 year old to have around the house. He did preschool time with Mommy this year. It's been so much fun to watch him learn and grow. He is the house DJ and is constantly playing Jimmy Buffet. He is the most compassionate big brother (until it's time to share toys). We like to write in his baby book some of the funny things he says/does. Here are a five from this year:
1. Owen was picking his nose and Eli asked "Do you have a booger Owen?" He said "Yes. I need to take it to the office." And wiped it on his bed post!
2. Owen ran to Candace and said "Mom! Daddy is breaking Everett!" Eli was just wiping his nose.
3. While riding in the car one day Owen announced, "I don't like candy anymore. I just like snacks and treats".
4. Owen ran into our room one morning and said " I dreamt about pink underpants!" and then giggled!
5. Candace asked Owen "How do you know you don't like your dinner? You haven't even tasted it." Owen said, "Mom, I'm 3 years old, I don't like it."
Last December Everett was a 6 month old who was just learning to sit up and eat solid foods. Now he is an 18 month old walking, talking tornado who can have the house torn apart in less than 5 minutes. He can throw food across the room and yell louder than anyone in the house. But really, he is an absolute joy!! He loves to snuggle and give hugs and kisses to everyone including his toys.

We are grateful for the true meaning of the season and wish you all a very merry CHRISTmas!
Love,
Eli, Candace, Owen and Everett
